nonick hosts Euro Blogs Awards, the “Internet Eurovision”

The Euro Blogs contest, which is similar to Eurovision but focused on blogs, is being celebrated in Bilbao as part of the international internet event nonick.

A 12-member jury will be choosing the best on-line diaries in 12 different languages -the most spoken around the globe without forgetting Basque-.

Internet users are deciding the results of the preliminary round through www.euroblogawards.com at the moment. The ones that reach the final will be voted in a ceremony in which the results will be unveiled by means of video-introductions which will be similar to the Eurovision Festival live connections in every country capital.

The awards ceremony can be watched live on nonick from 12.00 am on April 24. nonick is an event jointly organised by eitb.com and SPRI with the collaboration of Alianzo that will also be hosting a Startups contest and several workshops on video, television and internet.
