So these are the finalists in the Startup 2.0 competition May 10th, 2010
After the jury and popular votes on Facebook, we are able to announce the names of the 5 finalist projects in the Startup 2.0 competition. This year only social networks were accepted and we are pretty happy, as almost 100 European sites took part in the contest. 5 of them will be presenting their projects in Bilbao on Friday:

Zaryn Dentzel, Tuenti’s founder, will close nonick 2010 April 29th, 2010
Zaryn Dentzel, the creator of Tuenti, the most successful and important social network among young people all over Spain, will close the nonick 2010 conference. Dentzel, now 27, created Tuenti when he was 23. Now based in Madrid, he first came to Spain on an exchange program while still a student in the US. It was then that he created Tuenti, at first trying it out only on his closest social circle. Now, four years later, Tuenti has 8 million users, almost all of them students, who use it on a daily basis.

More than 300 experts in online communities from around the globe are set to attend nonick April 22nd, 2010
More than 300 experts in online communities from the United States, Britain, Germany, Holland, France and Italy, among other countries, will gather in Bilbao this May 14-15 for Nonick 2010, an international conference on social networks and online communities. The conference will be held entirely in English.
