The conference programme is based on all things related to networking, focussing this year on video, internet and television. It includes three debates on the subject of networking, as well as the Startup 2.0 competition, the Euro Blog Awards, a Developers Garage, a Kiss (Keep It Simple, Stupid) night and various hands-on workshops.

Given the international nature of the event, nonick will be held mostly in English. As its name indicates, nonick (or “no nick”) aims to encourage its attendees to seek out business opportunities, ideas and inspiration through direct human interaction.

On the Friday (24th) a debate entitled “Engaging with creative content producers” will mark the beginning of the two-day event, with Gabe Mac mediating an interactive talk between videobloggers. The following round of talks, entitled “Next on video on the net”, being together creative profiles, major interactive platforms such as Youtube and Dailymotion and corporations from the industry (Cisco Systems), will take place the same afternoon.

At midday on the Saturday, participants will be able to attend the third and final debate, “How to make a successful and profitable videowebsite”. With an obvious practical angle, the talk will include audience and publicity experts, as well as contributions from a couple of success stories within the domain of video websites.

In the section Developers Garage, developers of various applications and interactive platforms will present their latest projects. Likewise on Saturday morning, workshops will become open forums in which all attendees will have the opportunity to propose a topic for discussion.

Moreover, this year will see the new edition of the Startup 2.0 contest. nonick will host the final of the competition in which the best European companies in the field innovation will compete. Following its two previous editions, Startup 2.0 has become the most important competition of its kind on the continent.

Last but not least, nonick will also celebrate the Euro Blog Awards in pure “Eurovision” style. A jury of twelve experts from different European cities will vote via video connection to select the best European bitacora. Ten members of the jury will represent the most spoken European languages, while one will represent the Basque language and one other will act on behalf of the other remaining languages.
